Delay in entry summary declaration (ENS) requirement

The requirement to submit a separate entry summary declaration (ENS) declaration in relation to imports from the European Union, which was due to come into effect on 1 July 2022, has again been delayed.

The current guidance states:

“You do not need to make an entry summary declaration for goods imported from the EU and other territories from which a declaration was not required before 1 January 2021. We will update this guidance with further information in due course.”

As a result, it is uncertain when or if the messure will be adopted.
